Fundica Teams Up With China's Largest Startup Competition (Views: 1785)

MONTREAL, QC, June 20th 2016 – Fundica is proud to announce its collaboration with the Shenzhen Tech Entrepreneurs Association (STEA), one of China’s top innovation and entrepreneurship service providers for incubators, local governments, investors and startups across China and host of the largest startup competition in China. Together, the two will focus their efforts on global innovation and will further develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Canada and China. This collaboration will help facilitate the opportunity for both Canadian and Chinese early stage tech entrepreneurs to expand their networks globally and reach out to new investors and business partners.
The Chinese delegation will be heading to Waterloo’s Accelerator Center on June 23rd for the official partnership signing ceremony and a spin-off Fundica Roadshow pitch competition. The ceremony will include 15 tech startups who will pitch to 15 members of the Chinese delegation including investors, incubators, and other corporates as well as local investors and advisors in the Waterloo area. The startups with the best pitches will win advanced entry into the Entrepreneurship Star Competition, China’s largest startup competition. In 2015, the Entrepreneurship Star Competition attracted 2,459 startups from around the world and gave out over $1.5 million CAD in prizes.
