The last 30 months have been crazy at Fundica! Following the success of the first Funding Roadshow in 2013, we doubled the number of its city stops, increased attendance five-fold, and added a distinct educational component to the event in 2014.

In 2015, the Fundica team travelled 20,019 km, in 25 days, across 11 cities to complete the Funding Roadshow – again increasing the size, scope, and relevance of the initiative. The 2015 Funding Roadshow was by far the best. Here's an overview and some key statistics:

- 11 cities coast-to-coast across Canada
- 65 partners (incubators, accelerators, and national sponsors)
- 144 pitchers, 1147 participants and 124 funders
- 96 educational and inspirational RoadTalks
-100 % of participants will be returning to the next Funding Roadshow!
- 31% of pitchers were offered funding and 37% of funders found funding candidates (based on a 20% and 23% response rate respectively)

This year’s 11 Funding Roadshow winners will be headed to San Francisco next week to pitch to VCs in the valley on October 27th and to setup in their complimentary six-month office space in San Mateo, California. Our winners are:

Ottawa @ EY Centre: Nyvyyo
Toronto @ Ryerson DMZ winner: Edusight
Halifax @ Innovacorp: Vendeve
Winnipeg @ ICTAM: Exigence Technologies
Vancouver @ Small Business BC: Mentio
Victoria @ VIATeC : Keynexus
Calgary @ Innovate Calgary: RCKTSHP
Edmonton @ TEC Edmonton: EyeDentifyit
Toronto @ MaRS: eStaffMatch
Montreal @ Notman House: Makerbloks
Montreal @ Technoparc Montreal: Hyasynth Bio

None of this would have been possible without our national, hosting, and community partners; the inspirational speakers; the generous funders; as well as amazing entrepreneurs across the country.

Thank you all for support and look forward to seeing you and some new faces at the 2016 FRS!

Get Funded,

Fundica Roadees
