Who we are

We are a team of professionals experienced in computer science, tax, finance, and funding committed to providing the best way to find funding for start-up to large multinational for-profit companies.

The team has lived in and comes directly from the funding area. Collectively, we have raised over $75 million of government/private funding; have over 50 years of experience in funding Canadian corporations; have worked extensively with tax credits, grants, loans, loan guarantees, and equity programs across Canada; and have a strong working relationship with and understanding of private and government funding entities.

Michael Lee, Eng., MBA, CFA

Michael has spent the last 15 years working on technology funding projects for start-up to multinational technology firms. He has a strong background in both tax/finance and R&D tax credits. He worked as a Director of Corporate Finance and Development in the BCE group where he worked on several successful R&D intensive ground satellite and software investments, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships. He has also worked as Manager, Strategy and Technology Services at KPMG Consulting. Mike began his career as a project and R&D engineer and has worked with leading traditional, software, and other high technology firms. Mike has a B.A. Sc. in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from the University of British Columbia, and the CFA designation. He is a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec and the CFA Institute.

Debbie Frail, Eng., MBA

Debbie has spent the last 15 years successfully preparing R&D tax credit and grant claims for companies ranging from entrepreneurs to large manufacturing multinational. She spent several years as an owner of a mid-size product design and manufacturing company; where she held the position of VP Operations, overseeing product development, engineering and manufacturing. Debbie started her professional career with Shell Canada as a project engineer. Debbie attended McGill University where she received a Mechanical Engineering degree and an MBA. She has been a Professional Engineer and member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec since 1990.

Fundica is composed of a strong engineering team involved in the site design and development, information technology experts working on the funding program/product management, and marketing professionals working on the deployment of the site.
